By: Zoe Hines Founder of Ballistic Sounds. Michl’s song “When You Loved Me Least” was released earlier in 2016. This song’s downbeat tune exemplifies Michl’s sensitivity, while his strong voice highlights his growth from a toxic relationship. Each word he vocalizes is a build up of anger and hurt. When the beat drops with the synthesized tune, it’s as if Michl has exploded from the negativity in his relationship. The lyricism he uses to describe this mostly one-sided relationship is sadly beautiful. The line “I'm not climbing to get stuck up on your shelf” demonstrates his sensation of loneliness though he’s supposed to be in a relationship where all feelings are equally reciprocated. There’s a break in the song where he hums to the melody as if recapping the relationship calmly and moving on for himself to have something better. This track is courageous and displays strength one can overcome when you vacate a bad relationship.
